Are my prescriptions covered under COBRA?
Yes. If your employer plan includes prescription drug benefits, they remain covered under COBRA because you are continuing the same plan. Your pharmacy network, formulary, and cost-sharing (copays/coinsurance) generally stay the same. Changes may occur only if the employer changes the plan for everyone or when a new plan year begins. Prior authorizations and mail-order refills usually carry over if there is no break in coverage.

What Other Health Benefits Continue On COBRA?

Group health plans may include dental and vision insurance, prescription drug coverage, and Health Savings Accounts. When you elect to continue employer-sponsored medical insurance through COBRA, you generally keep all the same benefits you had before. If you had them prior to leaving your job, dental and vision coverage are also included under COBRA.

Will My Insurance Card Work at the Pharmacy?

If you elect COBRA insurance from your previous employer, your coverage details remain the same. Keep your insurance plan ID card, as you will continue to use it for medical services and prescriptions.
